Quiet Mobile Control

Drive Practice Sessions from Your Phone with Remote Pad

Keep typing through a coding rehearsal or talking through a design while your phone advances the answer stages. Pair in seconds from a QR code on your desktop.

How It Works

3-Step QR Code Mobile Pairing

Runs in your mobile browser with no app store installation.

  1. 01

    Scan the Desktop QR Code

Open ClawPad on your Mac or PC, enable Remote Pad, and scan the one-time pairing QR code with your phone camera.

  2. 02

    Pair the Device Session

Your phone joins over your local network with a single-session pairing token. The transport is a plain local HTTP and WebSocket connection, so use it only on a network you trust.

  3. 03

    Control from Beside Your Keyboard

Tap to trigger a question screenshot, cycle through system design talk tracks, and review database schemas while your hands stay on the keys.

Why a Phone Controller Helps in Rehearsal

Built so a practice run keeps its flow instead of pausing to manage the overlay.

Uninterrupted Flow

Stay in the Answer

Keep your attention on the problem and your editor rather than searching the overlay for the next-stage button.

Hands on Keyboard

Keep Typing

Continue writing code or notes while advancing your talk track from a phone resting beside your laptop.

One-Tap Capture

Trigger a Question Scan

Capture and analyze the practice question on screen with a single tap on your phone.

Remote Pad FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions on Remote Pad

Details on the transport, setup, and mobile compatibility.

What is Remote Pad?

Remote Pad is a mobile web companion included with ClawPad. By scanning a pairing QR code on your desktop, you can use your phone to page through answer stages and trigger question scans without reaching for the mouse mid-rehearsal.

Does Remote Pad require installing an app from the App Store or Google Play?

No. Remote Pad runs in any mobile browser on your local network. Each pairing issues a short-lived token that the desktop stores only as a hash.

Is the Remote Pad connection encrypted?

Not yet. Remote Pad is a beta feature that is disabled by default, listens only on a private IPv4 address it discovers on your current Wi-Fi or Ethernet network, and exposes no screen content. Its local HTTP and WebSocket transport is not encrypted, so pair only on a network you trust.

Why control the overlay from a phone during practice?

Rehearsal works best when you keep typing or talking through the answer. Advancing stages from a phone beside your keyboard keeps your practice flow uninterrupted instead of stopping to find an overlay button.

Quiet, uninterrupted control
